Northwest Michigan Health Services, Inc. in Traverse City, Michigan, is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our Dental team. You will deliver patient-centered care in a nonprofit community health setting, with 32–40 hours per week.

Responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms, assisting dentists and hygienists, sterilizing instruments, taking diagnostic x-rays, and aiding scheduling and insurance tasks. Compassion and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of Dental Assistant experience.
• Patient-focused, compassionate approach to care.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based clinical setting.
• Excellent communication and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and treatment rooms for dental procedures.
• Assist Dentists and Hygienists during exams and treatments.
• Sterilizing instruments and maintaining infection control standards.
• Taking diagnostic x-rays and recording medical/dental histories.
• Educating patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care.
• Supporting scheduling and insurance processes.
• Helping ensure dental equipment is clean, functional, and properly maintained.
