Job summary

LAUKOA is currently seeking Dental Assistants to support mobile/portable clinics across Tennessee for the TNARNG, with weekend work and some weekday shifts as needed.

Ideal candidates hold Tennessee RDA licensure, radiology certification, CPR/BLS, and a valid driver’s license; dental experience and strong customer service are valued. LAUKOA provides health readiness services to sustain deployable military readiness.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) licensure for the state of Tennessee.
• Active certificate in Dental Radiology from the Tennessee Board of Dentistry.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid US driver’s license.
• Excellent customer service skills and experience interacting with difficult clientele.
• Utilization of universal precautions for patient care.
• 1+ years’ experience in a dental setting.

Responsibilities

• Support sterilization, infection prevention, and biohazard control procedures in clinical treatment areas.
• Assist providers with DRC documentation and Service member dental readiness processing activities.
• Prepare and maintain mobile or portable dental treatment areas and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA bloodborne pathogen standards and PPE requirements.
• Capture digital x-rays (Bitewings, Periapicals, and Panographs).
• Complete event setup, take down, and maintenance of workstation equipment.
• Assist yearly examination/screening and ensure accurate charting on Military forms.
• Scan through documentation to identify Soldier’s required needs.
• Safeguard all patient information.
• Ensures all actions comply with HIPAA and other appropriate federal and state laws and regulations.

SUMMARY:

LAUKOA is currently seeking applicants to fill our Dental Assistant positions located throughout the state of Tennessee in support of Medical Readiness Services for the Tennessee Army National Guard (TNARNG). Services will be performed in mobile and portable treatment environments at the client’s location of choice throughout Minnesota. Work is primarily on weekends, with some occasional weekdays, and all work is performed on a part-time, “as needed” basis supporting Soldier medical and dental readiness requirements. LAUKOA provides health readiness services to help maintain a deployable military force for the TNARNG.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes quickly
• Ability to work for lengthy periods and perform accurately at adequate speed
• Must submit no less than two professional references with a resume

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Familiarity with military dental readiness documentation systems including MEDCHART DenClass.
