Job summary

CEC Health Care is seeking a compassionate Dental Assistant to join our Federally Qualified Health Center team in a part-time capacity. This role supports chairside procedures, radiography, sterilization, and lab work across our community health services.

The position offers a consistent 3-day-per-week schedule with locations including Glen Cove, Hauppauge, and Bethpage, and requires NY State Dental Assistant Certification and strong patient-facing skills.

Qualifications

• New York State Dental Assistant Certification required.
• Ability to take dental radiographs (X-rays).
• Excellent patient communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside dental assisting during procedures.
• Take and process dental X-rays in compliance with NYS regulations.
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms.
• Assist with dental lab procedures.
• Maintain clinical supplies and dental equipment.
• Support patient scheduling and appointment confirmations.
• Communicate professionally with patients and caregivers.

Job Details

Pay: $29.00 – $31.00 per hour

Schedule: Part-Time (3 days per week)

• Tuesday: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM – Hauppauge
• Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM – Glen Cove
• Friday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM – Bethpage

Dental Assistant Responsibilities

• Provide chairside dental assisting during procedures
