Job summary

The Smile Sanctuary in Aubrey, Texas, is seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our patient-centered team. You will assist the dentist, prepare and sterilize instruments, take X-rays, and maintain accurate patient records while supporting a calm, comfortable environment for every patient.

Qualified candidates have at least 2 years of experience, an active RDA license, CPR/BLS, and proficiency with Dentrix, Eaglesoft, and Open Dental.

Qualifications

• Active RDA license and CPR certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional dental assisting experience.
• Experience with Open Dental software required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and maintain patient records.
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures.
• Ensure the comfort and readiness of patients before treatment begins.
• Collaborate with the front office team to ensure a seamless patient flow.

Pay

• $20 - $25 per hour

Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.

Requirements

• License & Certification: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Basic life support
• Software Experience: Dentrix, Eaglesoft

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional dental assisting experience.

Software Proficiency: Experience with Open Dental software is required.

Certifications: Active RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) license and CPR certification.

Skills: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a gentle chairside manner.
