The successful candidate will have a high school diploma, state-certified dental assisting credentials, and preferably orthodontic experience.

Qualifications

• Base Pay $26.00 - $32.00 / Hour

Passion Dental is seeking a motivated and patient-focused Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our growing team. In this role, you will work closely with the orthodontist to provide high-quality patient care and support a positive clinical experience for patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during patient appointments and orthodontic procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to office protocols
• Take digital x-rays, intraoral scans, and patient photographs
• Assist with the placement and removal of orthodontic appliances as permitted by state regulations
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, appliance care, and treatment expectations
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, CDC, and infection control guidelines
• Monitor and maintain clinical inventory and supplies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment
• Collaborate with doctors and team members to provide exceptional patient care and customer service

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Dental Assistant certification/licensure as required by state regulations
• Current radiology certification if required by state regulations
• Minimum of 1 year of dental assisting experience preferred
• Orthodontic assisting experience preferred
• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and terminology
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and customer service
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm motions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with digital scanners and orthodontic software
• Experience assisting with braces, clear aligners, and other orthodontic appliances
• CPR certification
