Job summary

Smile Brands (Bright Now! Dental) is seeking an orthodontic assistant to support the orthodontist during procedures, prepare rooms, and maintain sterile conditions.

You will take impressions, X-rays, scans, and photographs; assist with bonding and debonding braces and orthodontic appliances; and ensure patient comfort.

The role requires CPR or BLS, an RDA license or OA permit, at least two years of orthodontic experience, and willingness to travel with paid mileage.

Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during patient procedures and adjustments.
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments per OSHA standards.
• Take dental impressions, intraoral scans, X-rays, and patient photographs.
• Assist with bonding and debonding braces and orthodontic appliances.
• Remove and place archwires, brackets, elastics, and other orthodontic materials.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, braces care, aligner wear, and post-treatment instructions.
• Fabricate retainers, aligners, and other orthodontic appliances when needed.
• Maintain accurate patient charts and update treatment notes.
• Ensure patient comfort and provide excellent customer service throughout appointments.
• Set up and break down treatment areas between patients.
• Assist with inventory management and stocking supplies.
• Support front office duties as needed, including scheduling and patient check-in/check-out.
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and office safety protocols at all times.

Schedule (days/hours)

Monday-Friday 8am-4pm, 9am-6pm-Must have RDA license or OA permit for this position and ortho exp

Responsibilities

Compensation

$24-$26/hr
