Leading Edge Oral Surgery (Elmhurst) in Elmhurst, NY, seeks a dental assistant with prior experience in oral surgery to support the surgeon and care for patients through procedural and diagnostic tasks.

You will take digital radiographs, CBCT and intra-oral scans, maintain strict infection control, and prepare operatories for treatments while following OSHA guidelines. A strong patient-centered approach is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Prior dental assisting experience with surgical procedures required.
• Experience with digital radiographs, CBCT, and intra-oral (3d) scanning
• Any certification/license as required by the state to perform specified duties.
• A resume showing a consistent and stable employment history.
• Strong interpersonal communication delivering exceptional patient experiences.

HIRING SCHEDULE:

• Sunday: OFF
• Monday: 8:45am-6:00pm
• Tuesday: 8:45am-6:00pm
• Thursday: 8:45am-6:00pm
• Friday: 8:45am-6:00pm
• Saturday: OFF

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Welcoming patients with a smile, making them feel comfortable and confident throughout their visit.
• Support the Oral Surgeon with various procedures.
• Taking digital radiographs, CBCT and intra-oral scans as prescribed
• Ensure strict infection control by meticulously preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
• Sanitizing and prepping operatories for respective treatments.
• Adhere to OSHA and safety policies, prioritizing a secure and healthy environment.
• Educate patients on effective oral hygiene strategies as needed
• Undertake diverse office tasks as needed for seamless practice operations.

New York Salary Range: $22/HR - $28/HR range varies based on experience
