Familia Dental is seeking dedicated Dental Assistants to join our Elgin team. No certification required as on-the-job training is provided. You will support dentists, manage patient flow, and help deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer/patient service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills.
• Basic computer knowledge and experience with dental management software; Denticon experience preferred.
• Ability to work in fast paced, patient-focused environment.
• Detail oriented; able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Meet state requirements for DA duties, continuing education, or license; BLS/CPR and radiography certificates.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and escort patients professionally from reception to treatment areas.
• Ensure treatment rooms are stocked and inventory is reordered.
• Take and record patient medical and dental histories and vital signs.
• Document all dental procedures per Dentist’s instructions and legal requirements.
• Take and develop dental diagnostic x-rays.
• Sterilize instruments and assist Dentist during procedures.
• Provide dental education to patients on oral health.
• Attend morning huddles and regular office meetings.
