A Smile 4 U Dentistry in Dalton, GA is seeking upbeat, professional Dental Assistants to join our multi-specialty team. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and adaptable with dental assistant certification preferred.

Responsibilities include assisting dentists, charting conditions, taking X-rays, sterilizing equipment, and ensuring patient comfort across pediatric and oral surgery settings. Training and team support are available in a positive, family-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Previous dental assisting experience required.
• Excellent chairside manner and strong communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to different procedures and techniques.

• Professional, dependable, and eager to grow.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Explain office procedures to patients before treatment.
• Provide quality, compassionate care to patients before, during, and after dental treatment.
• Manage patients during dental procedures and ensure their comfort.
• Accurately chart existing dental conditions and record progress notes.
• Provide patients with post-operative instructions following treatment or surgery.
• Take dental impressions for study models.
• Prepare, maintain, and sterilize dental instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Take and develop dental x-rays; collect and record patient health histories.
• Serve as infection control officer: maintain sterilization logs and ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
• Monitor and document repairs for operatory and handpiece equipment.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks (e.g., autoclave testing, trap cleaning).
• Assist with ordering and inventory of dental supplies.
• Support the clinic with recall and treatment plan reports as needed.
• Adhere to all government, OSHA, and company regulations.
• Provide direct patient care across multiple specialties including pediatric dentistry and oral surgery.
