Job summary

Mount Pleasant Dental Center in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team for part-time or full-time work (30-36 hours per week), with opportunities for growth and a supportive environment.

You will assist dentists during procedures, prepare and sterilize instruments, take dental radiographs, provide post-treatment care instructions, and maintain patient records in a modern, well-equipped practice.

Qualifications

• Valid x-ray certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification required.
• At least 2 years of dental assistant experience.
• Experience taking impressions and pouring models.
• Experience assisting during fillings, crown/bridge prep, extractions.
• Ability to set up and break down operatories.
• Detail oriented with multitasking ability.
• Experience with Open Dental preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during dental procedures.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays).
• Provide patients with oral care instructions after procedures.
• Record patient histories and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
