Avon Dental Group in Avon, CT is seeking a dependable Dental Assistant to join a high-tech, patient-centered team. You’ll support general, restorative, and specialty care, preparing operatories, radiographs, sterilization, and chairside assistance.

The role offers ongoing education, a collaborative culture, and opportunities to advance. Experience with Eaglesoft/Dentrix is preferred, as is DANB CDA/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program (preferred).
• DANB CDA, ICE, RHS, and current CPR certification (preferred).
• Experience with Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar dental software (preferred).
• Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm and comfortable experience for patients
• Assist with a variety of dental procedures including general and specialty care
• Prepare operatories and sterilize instruments to OSHA standards
• Capture diagnostic-quality digital X-rays
• Support the doctor with procedures including suctioning, instrument passing, tray setup, and patient communication
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment instructions
• Track and order inventory, restock supplies, and maintain cleanliness in the operatories
• Accurately chart in Eaglesoft/Dentrix and support front-office coordination as needed
