Dental One Associates at Belair in Abingdon, Maryland is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the clinical team in a fast-paced, team-based practice. Prior dental assisting experience is preferred, with EFDA and X-ray certifications expected.

The position features competitive hourly pay and full-time hours Monday–Thursday 8a–5p, Friday 8a–3p, with benefits including health, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, and a 401(k). Modern office equipped with advanced dental technology.

Qualifications

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program.
• Expanded Functions Dental Assistant - Required.
• X-Ray certification - Required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
