Qualifications

• Dental assisting experience required.
• Board-approved 8-hour Infection Control course (CA)
• California Dental Practice Act course required for unlicensed assistants (CA)
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Radiation Safety certificate required to take radiographs
• California RDA license preferred
• Experience with senior/geriatric patients preferred
• Strong organizational and patient communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during exams and procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
• Support patient intake and documentation
• Maintain infection control and sterilization standards
• Take radiographs as directed and within your certification
