  • Evaluate student learning by assessing competencies through return demonstrations.
  • Sign and date student skill checklists to document progress and competency.
  • Manage simulation scenarios and assess student responses for effectiveness and accuracy.

The Dental Assistant Laboratory Skills Instructor operates under the direct supervision of the Program Director, contributing to the academic and professional development of students within the Dental Assistant program. This role is pivotal in delivering both theoretical knowledge and practical applications through a variety of instructional methods, including classroom teaching, clinical practicums, simulation exercises, and skills laboratory tracking. The position is designed to ensure students achieve educational objectives and gain hands‑on experience necessary for their professional growth.
