Job summary

United Education Institute in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a Dental Assistant Instructor to deliver quality instruction at our Bakersfield campus, developing students’ technical and soft skills to help them secure a career in dentistry.

No prior teaching experience is required as we provide thorough training. California candidates must hold an RDA license (3+ years) with X-Ray, Coronal Polishing, and Pit & Fissure certifications; other states have similar credential requirements.

Qualifications

• Teaching experience not required; training will be provided.
• 3 years total in related dental field and/or teaching.
• CA: RDA license for 3 years, with X-Ray, Coronal Polishing, and Pit & Fissure certifications.
• FL: EFDA required unless CODA-accredited graduate; 5+ years in schools.
• GA: CDA/EDDA/EFDA or 3 years experience.
• AZ: AZ Radiology certificate required.

Qualifications

• Teaching experience is not required. We will train***
• Thirty-six months combined related industry and/or teaching experience.
• California Applicants: An applicant must be an RDA licensee for 3 years and maintain valid, current RDA license throughout employment in California. A Minimum of 3 years of experience in the dental field and RDA License is required for California schools. Must have X-Ray, Coronal Polishing, and Pit and Fissure certifications.
• Florida Applicants: EFDA is required for Florida based schools, unless the individual graduated from a Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) accredited school. A Minimum of 5 years of experience is required for Florida schools.
• Georgia Applicants: CDA/EDDA/EFDA certificate or 3 years of experience is required for Georgia schools.
• Arizona Applicants: Must possess an AZ Board-approved certificate in Radiology.
