Job summary

Aspen Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team in a role that supports clinicians and patients alike. You will assist during procedures, take x-rays, set up and break down operatory, and help manage patient flow, with emphasis on infection control and accurate charting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active license/registration and x-ray certification as required by state.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Assist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Take dental x-rays.
• Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment.
• Execute patient handoffs and monitor patient flow within the practice.
• Manage infection control – prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain good oral health.
• Complete denture relines and temporary crowns.
• Perform quality impressions and bite registrations.
• Perform digital intraoral scans.
• Support patient charting for doctors.
• Perform various office tasks as necessary.
• Collaborate with practice team to ensure optimum patient satisfaction.
