Job summary

NorthShore Health Centers is seeking a Dental Assistant II to support dentists and hygienists in delivering primary dental care. The role includes patient intakes, taking and developing radiographs, sterilizing instruments, and preparing operatories.

You will also help manage inventory, maintain patient records, and assist during procedures while supporting daily clinic operations and patient care goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, Transcripts, or Equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certified within 2 weeks of hire.
• Dental Radiographer License in the State of Indiana.

Responsibilities

• Answer patient inquiries (phone or in person) and prepare patients for exam/procedure.
• Assist during dental procedures by transferring instruments and retracting the oral cavity.
• Expose and process x-rays and maintain radiographic records.
• Sterilize instruments, prepare operatories, and manage supplies.
• Document services rendered in electronic patient records and assist with daily huddles.
