Job summary

MetroHealth’s Ohio City Family Dentistry is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to support clinical providers in delivering high-value dental care to patients ranging from children to adults. You will help ensure efficient, safe services delivered with compassion, aligned to MetroHealth’s mission and standards.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, Ohio Dental Assistant Radiographer license (or within 90 days), and a current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
• Graduate of a Dental Assisting program or 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant or graduate of a foreign accredited dental school.
• Possess a current Ohio Dental Assistant Radiographer license or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Possess a current BLS certificate through the American Heart Association or obtain within 90 days of hire.

Location: Ohio City Family Dentistry

Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: m-f, 8:0 am to 4:30 pm

Supports the clinical provider(s) in the delivery of high value dental care to children through adult patient populations. Qualifications

Required: High school graduate or passage of a high school equivalency exam

Meets one of the following:

• Graduate of a Dental Assisting program
• 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Graduate of a foreign accredited dental or hygiene school

Possess a current Ohio Dental Assistant Radiographer license or obtains within 90 days of hire.

Possess a current BLS certificate through the American Heart Association or obtains within 90 days of hire.

Willing to work according to the job assigned and over-time requirements as needed (i.e. days, evenings, weekends, and in home care service/outpatient dental clinics in the MetroHealth System).

Access to reliable transportation to travel to all satellite locations or home care facilities as needed.

Preferred: 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant.

Physical Requirements

May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.

May need to sit or stand for extended periods.

See in the normal visual range with or without correction.

Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
