Job summary

Chenega Government Mission Solutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services' company, is seeking a Dental Assistant II to support the Indian Health Service's Fort Belknap Service Unit in Harlem, Montana. Dental Assistants will work between the hours of 7am and 6pm, and between Monday and Friday.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Certificate or completion from an accredited Dental Assistant program.
• At least 1 year of dental assisting experience.
• Active BLS certification and on-site Harlem, MT work ability.
• Familiarity with instruments, materials, and procedures in restorative to periodontal care.
• Knowledge of dental anatomy and radiographic mounting.
• Ability to explain post-operative instructions and home care.

Responsibilities

• Provide chair-side dental assistance.
• Expose radiographs, take impressions, clean and disinfect operatories.
• Maintain records and clinic supplies; prepare requisitions.
• Sterilize instruments and equipment; ensure infection control.
• Receive patients, verify appointments, and document in records.
• Discharge patients with post-op instructions and arrange follow-ups.
• Assist higher-grade staff with instrument passing and material preparation.
• Perform lab procedures like impressions and custom trays as needed.
• Provide patient education and health service information.
