An established industry player in healthcare is seeking a dedicated dental assistant to join their team. This role involves supporting dentists and dental hygienists in providing exceptional care to a diverse patient population. Responsibilities include preparing treatment areas, assisting during procedures, and managing patient interactions. Ideal candidates will have a strong foundation in dental assisting, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient care. Summary:
The dental assistant reports to the Clinical Dental Supervisor of Samuels Sinclair Dental Center and/or its Practice Manager/Director. Under the clinical supervision of staff dentists, they follow established policies and procedures to assist dentists and dental hygienists. The dental center provides care to adult, intellectually disabled, pediatric, and medically compromised patients.

Basic Knowledge:
Knowledge of dental assisting, including familiarity with four-handed dentistry, instruments, and equipment used across various dental specialties, as well as radiographic and laboratory procedures.
Demonstrated clerical skills, ability to operate office equipment, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with diverse populations, including patients with special needs.
Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS). Must pass the Dental Assisting National Board within three months of hire.
Experience:
General dental assisting experience plus three to six months on-the-job experience to familiarize with department procedures.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Independent Action: Performs duties independently within department policies, consulting supervision for complex issues.
