Job summary

Deeb & Fanning DDS in Kentucky is seeking a skilled dental assistant to support dentists with room prep, sterilization, and patient flow. You will assist during procedures, hand instruments, and manage radiographs and records, ensuring high-quality patient care.

Requirements include completion of a certified dental assistant training program and radiographic certification; coronal polishing is a plus. The role offers a competitive hourly rate with monthly bonuses and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Completion of a certified dental assistant training program is required.
• Radiographic certification is required.
• 18 months or more of clinical experience as a dental assistant is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure equipment is ready for dentists.
• Assist dentists during procedures by handing instruments and anticipating needs.
• Take and process X-rays of patients.
• Greet patients and schedule appointments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payments.

Job Responsibilities

• Preparing exam rooms, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring necessary equipment is ready for dentists
• Knowledge of general anatomy of the mouth and dental terms
• Understanding of crowns, fillings, extractions, root canals and implants
• Assisting dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating needs
• Taking and processing X-rays of patients
• Perform lab tasks as instructed
• Greeting patients as they arrive and scheduling appointments
• Advising patients on recommended oral hygiene
• Maintaining accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
• Strong communications skills required to deliver oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
• Handling general administrative and other duties to maintain the dental practice

Qualifications

• Completion of a certified dental assistant training program required.
• Radiographic certification required.
• Coronal Polishing is a plus, but not required.
• 18 months or more of clinical experience as a dental assistant required.
• Outstanding professionalism, high moral standards, and a self-motivated work ethic
