Job summary

Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry in Harrisburg is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant II for a full-time position. You will support the dentist, prepare treatment plans, and maintain instruments in a fast-paced, patient-focused practice.

Ideal candidates have DAII training, CDA or radiology credentials, CPR or intent to obtain, and strong teamwork. Excellent benefits, ongoing education, and opportunities across locations are offered.

Qualifications

  • CODA-accredited program is acceptable.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist in providing dental treatment.
  • Function as treatment coordinator and present treatment plans.
  • Maintain dental instruments, supplies and equipment.
  • Collect and record patient health histories.
  • Assist with patient management during procedures.
  • Complete instrument cleaning, sterilization and room sanitization.
  • Prepare dental materials and equipment for scheduled treatment.

What will you be doing?
  • Assist the dentist in providing dental treatment
  • Function as a treatment coordinator and prepare and present treatment plans to patients
  • Maintain dental instruments, supplies and equipment
  • Collect and record patient health histories
  • Assist with patient management during dental procedures
  • Complete Instrument cleaning & sterilization and post-op sanitization of treatment rooms
  • Prepare dental materials and equipment as needed for scheduled treatment
Requirements
  • DAII Training or equivalent
  • Preferred 2-5 years of Dental Assistant experience
  • Achieved CDA certification, or completed radiological equivalency exam through NC State Board of Dental Examiners, or completed CODA-accredited dental assisting program
  • CPR certified, or will become CPR certified within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to professionally present clinical information regarding treatment plans and insurance information to patients
  • Knowledge of Denticon software a plus
  • Regular and timely attendance
  • Ability to demonstrate independent thinking and exercise good judgment ability to formulate, affect, interpret, and/or implement operating practices
  • Ability to demonstrate a teamwork approach to job responsibilities
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, dependability and promptness
  • Must perform frequent repetitive work with attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to be flexible and accept different work assignments within the practice, including traveling to other locations if needed with a positive approach
  • Ability to follow instructions and takes responsibility for own actions
  • Ability to exercise confidentiality with Patients and patient care
  • Must listen attentively for clarification to ensure necessary outcomes
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, and written correspondence

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
