Prism Health North Texas is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to support a dentist in a busy clinical setting. You will manage patient records, assist during procedures, maintain instruments, and help uphold infection control standards and OSHA compliance.

This role requires strong organization, excellent communication, and the ability to work Monday through Friday with occasional weekends. You will participate in team meetings, support front desk duties as needed, and contribute to a

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Dental assisting certification and state license required.
• CPR/BLS or PALS required or obtainable within 30 days of hire.
• Radiology certification required.
• Continuing Education as required by state.
• Nitrous certificate preferred.
• Sealant and coronal polish certificates required.
• Work involves exposure to safety hazards and protective equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain high and low speed handpieces.
• Collect and record patient health histories.
• Monitor patients during procedures when N2O is used.
• 4-handed dentistry with sterile/OSHA procedures.
• Prepare dental materials, cements, composites, and impressions.
• Ensure operatory setup and cleanup.
• Maintain equipment, sterilizers, ultrasonic, flush lines, and traps.
• Update patient dental records including perio charting.
• Inventory control and management.
• Disinfect treatment room per OSHA, CDC, ADA standards.
• Explain post-operative care.
• Assist Lead Dental Assistant and with front desk duties as needed.
• Attend team meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
