Nasson Health Care is a Federally Qualified Health Center serving York County and neighboring communities with integrated medical, dental, and behavioral health care. Nasson Health Care seeks a Dental Assistant I to support a patient-centered medical home model, providing foundational chair-side assistance, infection control, and care coordination.

The role collaborates with dental and interdisciplinary teams, maintains exam rooms, documents in the EHR, and ensures a smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Radiographic certification in Maine preferred, or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
• Minimum of one year of relevant health center experience preferred.
• Must not have an active record on the System for Award Management website.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with dental care team to prepare for patient visits and deliver indicated services.
• Prepares patients for visits by recording vital signs and health history.
• Prepares, stocks, and maintains exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Provides chair-side assistance to dentist and dental hygienist during examinations and procedures.
• Documents patient care activities in the EHR and patient portal.
• Maintains aseptic technique and follows infection prevention standards.
