Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a qualified Dental Assistant I to support dental providers, deliver quality patient care, and assist with chairside procedures. This role involves patient education, infection control, charting, and clinic operations support.

The ideal candidate will have formal DA training or 1+ year experience, Washington DOH registration, BLS CPR within 90 days, robust infection control skills, and bilingual English/Spanish abilities preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal Dental Assistant program or 1+ year experience.
• Washington State DOH Dental Assistant Registration required.
• BLS CPR required within 90 days of hire.
• Strong infection control and patient communication skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry across multiple procedures.
• Escort and greet patients; ensure patient comfort and confidentiality.
• Assist with patient charting, vitals, and dental documentation in Dentrix/Allscripts.
• Maintain sterilization and infection control standards.
• Support scheduling, inventory, supply ordering, and quality improvement activities.
• Train new staff and assist with competency testing and ongoing education.

Dental Assistant I (Sea Mar Community Health Centers)

Sea Mar is seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to support dental providers and deliver quality patient care. This role includes chairside assistance, patient education, infection control, and supporting clinic operations.

• Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry across multiple procedures
• Escort and greet patients; ensure patient comfort and confidentiality
