Job summary

YKHC in Bethel, Alaska, is seeking a Dental Assistant to perform the normal duties in a dental clinic, support efficient operations, and provide a high level of patient interaction.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; DA Apprenticeship preferred; current BLS/CPR and dental radiology certification within 2 months; familiarity with dental equipment, instruments, anatomy, and customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer completion of DA Apprenticeship showing competencies in all phases of dental assisting as determined by the Dental Assistant Trainer; or have documented training of comparable level.
• Current BLS, CPR and dental radiology certification within 2 months of hire date.
• Dental equipment and instruments.
• Dental anatomy, basic dental instrumentation, basic dental assisting and customer service skills.

Position Summary
