Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers in Washington State seeks a Dental Assistant I to support dental providers and deliver quality patient care. Responsibilities span chairside assistance, patient education, charting, and infection control, with duties in clinic operations.

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal Dental Assistant program or 1+ year experience.
• Washington State DOH Dental Assistant Registration required.
• BLS CPR required within 90 days of hire.
• Strong infection control and patient communication skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry across multiple procedures.
• Escort and greet patients; ensure patient comfort and confidentiality.
• Assist with patient charting, vitals, and dental documentation in Dentrix/Allscripts.
• Maintain sterilization and infection control standards.
• Support scheduling, inventory, supply ordering, and quality improvement activities.
• Train new staff and assist with competency testing and ongoing education.
