Job summary

Messenger Digital Dentistry in North Adams, MA seeks a full-time Dental Assistant to work chairside with our dentists and clinical team. The role ensures a smooth patient flow, accurate records, and adherence to infection-control protocols in a high-tech, patient-first environment.

Qualifications

• X-ray certification is required.
• Preferred: previous experience in a dental office or clinical setting.
• Experience with Dentrix is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist chairside during procedures and provide instrument support.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials before appointments.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) per regulations.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment following infection-control protocol.
• Prepare impressions, models, and temporary restorations as needed.
• Welcome patients and get them comfortably ready for treatment.
• Review medical histories and keep patient records current.
• Provide clear post-operative instructions and patient education.
• Keep patients at ease and address concerns throughout visits.
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical notes.
• Manage inventory and keep dental supplies stocked and ready.
• Support compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and state dental regulations.
