Job summary

Kids for the Future is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant to support the Dentist in delivering high-quality pediatric and general dental care in a clinical setting. The role requires preparing instruments and operatory, seating patients, and documenting health histories while ensuring strict infection control standards.

The ideal candidate will be proficient with radiographs and four-handed dentistry, able to work independently, and willing to assist with front office tasks and patient flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Completion of Board-approved Infection Control course (8 hours).
• Completion of Dental Assisting Pathway program or EDCHC Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain dental instruments, supplies and equipment; ready operatory for patient visits.
• Seat patients, explain procedures and record health histories.
• Take radiographs using conventional or digital methods with radiation precautions.
• Provide active chairside assistance and four-handed dentistry.
• Maintain infection control, sterilize instruments and restock operatory.
• Assist with front desk duties and manage patient flow as needed.
