Exceptional Dental in Metairie, LA is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dentists with clinical and administrative duties. You will prepare patients and rooms, sterilize instruments, assist chairside, take x-rays and medical histories, and educate patients on oral hygiene.

Qualifications

• EDDA certification preferred.
• Ability to stay calm and efficient in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong communication and a patient-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and treatment rooms for exams and procedures.
• Sterilize instruments and set up trays.
• Assist chairside during dental treatments and nitrous oxide administration.
• Take x-rays, impressions, medical histories and vital signs.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and aftercare.
• Record treatment notes and help keep patients at ease.
• Support emergencies and ensure safety per OSHA guidelines.
