Job summary

Electric City Dental Care, part of Heartland Dental’s network, seeks a Dental Assistant to join a fast-paced, patient-focused practice. New graduates are welcome. You’ll support clinicians with four-handed dentistry, take x-rays, manage supplies, and help maintain high safety and comfort for patients.

Experience with Dentrix and dental terminology is helpful; certification and HIPAA training may be required by state laws. This on-site role offers benefits and growth within a nationwide network.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment
  • If required under the state dental practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • HIPAA training and protecting PHI is required

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome patients and educate them during treatment
  • Review patient health histories for quality care
  • Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography)
  • Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry)
  • Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping
  • Prepare treatment room with OSHA & CDC safety protocols
  • Manage supplies and vendor orders
  • Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems
