Job summary

AltaMed Health Services is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dentists and hygienists in delivering primary dental care at our clinic or mobile unit. You will handle sterilization, preparation and inventory control of instruments and supplies, and maintain proper infection control throughout patient areas. Required: High School diploma or GED, X-Ray, Infection Control and BLS certificates.

A completed dental assisting program is preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• X-Ray, infection control and BLS certificates required.
• Completion of an accredited course in dental assisting preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist and dental hygienists in providing primary care dental services.
• Sterilize, prepare and inventory control of dental instruments and supplies; ensure infection control in patient care areas.
