AltaMed Health Services Corp. is seeking a temporary Dental Assistant to support dentists and hygienists in delivering primary dental care at the West Covina clinic and mobile units.

Responsibilities include sterilization, instrument preparation, and inventory control, with strict adherence to infection control standards. The role requires a High School diploma or GED, board-approved Dental Practice Act course, and an accredited dental assisting course (preferred); X-Ray and Coronal Polishing

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Board-approved course in the Dental Practice Act required.
• Accredited course in dental assisting preferred.
• Coronal Polishing Certification; X-Ray and infection control courses required.
• BLS certification required.
• CA Driver's License required if Mobile Units.
• DOJ/FBI background check within 30 days if Mobile Units.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist(s) and hygienist(s) in providing primary care dental services.
• Sterilize, prepare, and manage dental instruments and supplies; maintain inventory.
• Ensure proper infection control in patient care areas.
• Support mobile unit operations as needed.
