AltaMed in California seeks a Dental Assistant to support dentists and dental hygienists in providing primary care services at the clinic or mobile unit. Responsibilities include sterilization, preparation of instruments, inventory control, and maintaining infection control for patient care.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, completion of dental assisting courses, and valid CPR/BLS. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of a board-approved course in the Dental Practice Act.
• Completion of an accredited course in dental assisting is preferred.
• Coronal Polishing Certification or equivalent course in dental assisting.
• Board-approved course in X-Ray and infection control required.

Responsabilités

• Assist dentists and dental hygienists in providing primary dental care.
• Sterilize, prepare, and inventory dental instruments and supplies.
• Maintain infection control protocols in all patient care areas.
