Job summary

Dentistry of Lynnwood is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to support the dentist chairside, prepare treatment rooms, and ensure sterile instruments for a wide range of procedures.

You will also take and process dental radiographs, educate patients on post-operative care, and maintain accurate records. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and high-quality patient care in a busy clinic environment.

Qualifications

• License & Certification prerequisites listed (CPR, BLS, radiography).
• Current Washington State Dental Assistant registration/certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist chairside during procedures with four-handed dentistry.

Shift & Schedule

• Monday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Tuesday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Friday: 9:00 AM – 1:30 PM

Requirements

• License & Certification: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Basic life support
• Current Dental Assistant registration/certification as required by Washington State regulations.
• Current CPR certification.

Job Description

• Assist the dentist chairside during a wide range of dental procedures, performing four-handed dentistry effectively.
• Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring all instruments and materials are sterile and readily available.
• Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed, ensuring patient safety and diagnostic quality.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment according to OSHA and infection control guidelines.
• Educate patients on post-operative care, oral hygiene instructions, and answer their questions clearly and kindly.
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with charting.
• Manage dental supplies and inventory, ensuring efficient stock levels.
• Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout their visit.
• Perform other administrative or clinical duties as assigned by the dentist or office manager.
