Job summary

University Dental Associates in High Point, NC is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our patient care team. You will prepare operatories, assist dentists during procedures, sterilize equipment, and help educate patients on oral health.

Qualifications

  • Dental Assistant certification.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare operatories for patients and maintain sterility.
  • Assist the dentist during treatment procedures.
  • Run sterilization and inventory of supplies.
  • Educate patients on oral healthcare goals and post-care instructions.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain thorough patient records.

Responsibilities

What Does a UDA Dental Assistant Look Like? They look like YOU! As a Dental Assistant at UDA, you are an important and valued member of our patient care team. Under the guidance and direction of some of the very best dentists in the industry, you are responsible for performing clinical duties necessary to fully facilitate treatment and care. This may include preparing operatories for patients, running sterilization, assisting the provider during treatment, supporting the education of patients on how to best succeed in their oral healthcare goals, and keeping up with equipment and supplies needed each day.

In your role, you will be working toward the unified office mission of providing the very best that we have to offer to our patients each and every day. This may mean that you also help the practice succeed administratively by scheduling appointments and maintaining thorough patient records.

Qualifications

What Skills and Experience Does a Successful UDA Dental Assistant Have?

  • Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program or
  • Six months on-the-job experience (with supporting documentation)
  • Dental Assistant certification
  • X-Ray certification
  • Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Dental Assistants are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control trainings as required by law.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
