Job summary

Aspen Dental Newport News is hiring a Dental Assistant to support clinical needs and assist doctors across procedures. You will receive training, have opportunities for growth, and contribute to community smiles in a supportive team environment.

You will help with x-rays, operatory setup, infection control, patient education, and charting while maintaining high standards of care and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Assist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Take dental x-rays.
• Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment.
• Execute patient handoffs and monitor patient flow within the practice.
• Manage infection control – prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain good oral health.
• Complete denture soft relines and manufacture temporary crowns.
• Perform quality impressions and bite registrations.
• Perform digital intraoral scans.
• Support patient charting for doctors.
• Perform various office tasks as necessary.
• Collaborate with practice team to ensure optimum patient satisfaction.
