Job summary

Aspen Dental in Connecticut is hiring a Dental Assistant to support a range of procedures, take dental x-rays, and help maintain a clean, efficient operatory. You’ll join a team that values community impact and ongoing learning, with a comprehensive benefits package and flexible scheduling.

In this full-time role, you will educate patients on oral hygiene, assist with denture relines and temporary crowns, and ensure high standards of infection control and patient flow.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients of all ages
• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
• Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the dental team to provide exceptional patient care
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Active license/registration/permit including x-ray certification if required

Responsibilities

• Assist during a variety of treatment procedures
• Take dental x-rays
• Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment
• Execute patient handoffs and monitors patient flow within the practice
• Manage infection control – prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
• Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain good oral health
• Complete denture soft relines and manufacture temporary crowns
• Perform quality impressions and bite registrations
• Perform digital intraoral scans
• Support patient charting for doctors
• Perform various office tasks as necessary
• Collaborate with practice team to ensure optimum patient satisfaction
