Job summary

Advanced Dental Specialists – Mayfair, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, is hiring a Dental Assistant to join our team. Pay ranges from $20.00 to $26.00 per hour with a schedule Tue–Thu and some Fridays, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM.

The role requires 1 year of dental assisting experience; certification in dental assisting and/or x-ray may be required by state law. Dentrix experience is a plus. This is a collaborative, patient‑centered practice that values learning and growth.

Qualifications

• 1 year of dental assisting experience; specialty experience preferred.
• Required: dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification if required by state law.
• Experience with Dentrix or similar dental software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients; ensure comfort and provide education during treatment.
• Review patient health history to inform quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidelines.
• Manage supplies and place expediting orders; support Heartland Dental systems.
