Job summary

Aesthetic And Wellness Dental in Louisville is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our practice. The successful candidate will support dentists during exams, ensure clean and ready treatment rooms, and assist with implants and restorations.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential for delivering high-quality patient care. The position is in-person with Monday–Thursday 7:30 AM - 5 PM, offering full-time or part-time opportunities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental terminology and medical terminology.
• Understanding of vital signs and patient assessment.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental office.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms for patient procedures.
• Placing composite restorations and temporary crowns
• Assisting the doctor with Oral Surgery and Endodontic procedures
• Ability to perform digital impressions
• Experience with a CEREC is preferred but not mandatory
• Perform medical documentation accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using medical imaging techniques.
• Record vital signs and update patient medical histories as needed.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
• Manage patient scheduling, including appointments and follow-ups, using Dentrix or Eaglesoft software.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental office to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Assist in inventory management of dental supplies and materials.
