Job summary

Luke Staffing seeks a Dental Assistant for Naval Medical Center San Diego (and NBHC) in a fast-paced military clinical environment. The role supports complex restorative, prosthodontic, endodontic and periodontal care alongside the dentist, including patient prep, X-ray imaging, and instrument sterilization.

Requirements include a CODA-accredited program or equivalent, radiography certification, U.S. citizenship, English proficiency and the ability to stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Certificate or associate degree from a CODA-accredited program.
• 12 months experience within the preceding 36 months.
• Radiography training included in education.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist at chair side and perform intra-oral procedures as directed.
• Schedule patients for treatment and obtain medical histories.
• Sterilize instruments, prepare trays, and maintain X-ray equipment.
• Relate post-treatment care instructions to patients and educate on techniques.
• Maintain reports related to dental activities and radiographic records.
