Job summary

Family Care Health Centers in Missouri is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dentist(s) in delivering compassionate dental care. You will maintain the clinical area, prepare patients for exams, take x-rays, and assist with treatments while upholding HIPAA and safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited dental assistant program (or 2–3 years of experience).

Responsibilities

• Maintains clinical area and dental equipment in good condition.

• Performs x-ray exposure, fluoride therapy, and model work.
• Prepares patients for examinations per center protocols.
• Maintains inventory and sterilization of instruments; prepares rooms daily.
• Assists providers during treatments, exams and surgeries.
• Coordinates outgoing lab work and follow-up notifications.
• Manages patient recall system and records.
• Uses four-handed dentistry technique.
• Records vitals (BP, temp, pulse, respiration) and monitors patients.
• Maintains CPR certification and continuing education.
