Job summary

Preferred Search Group is partnering with a privately owned dental practice to hire a Dental Assistant. The role is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:45 AM–6:30 PM, with one Saturday per month.

Primary location is Miami Springs, with occasional travel to the Plantation office as needed. Responsibilities include chairside assistance, room prep, patient histories, radiographs, impressions, sterilization, and education of patients.

Qualifications

• EFDA certification required.
• Previous dental assisting experience preferred.
• Current radiology certification required.
• Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilization protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, professional, and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms and patients for treatment.
• Take and review medical histories and vital signs as needed.
• Expose dental radiographs (state certification required).
• Take and pour dental impressions.
• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments per OSHA guidelines.
• Turn over operatories efficiently between patients.
• Maintain inventory and assist with ordering dental supplies.
• Educate patients on treatment and post-operative care.
• Accurately document patient information using practice software.
