Job summary

North American Dental Group seeks an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) or Dental Assistant to join our dental team in Franklin, TN. Open to full-time or part-time schedules with competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities include assisting doctors, charting, workups, and following state regulations for expanded duties. Ideal candidates have EFDA certification or on-the-job training and radiography licensure, with CPR certification and MS Office

Qualifications

• EFDA Certification or on-the-job training per state requirements.
• Radiography licensure for respective state requirements.
• 1–5 years of experience preferred; new graduates considered.
• CPR Certification is required.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Knowledge of dental charting software and digital x-rays; ability to learn new programs.

Responsibilities

• Assists doctors with charting, placement of fillings, operatory setup/cleanup, and patient education.
• Able to perform expanded duties following state regulations and compliance.
• Assists in clinical procedures such as fillings, temporary crowns, sutures, and fluoride applications.
• Records and reviews patient health history and updates treatment forms.
• Enters and updates patient treatment plans under the doctor’s direction.
