Job summary

Fordland Clinic, Inc. is seeking a dental assistant in Missouri to perform basic supportive procedures under direct supervision of a licensed dentist.

The role requires certification or two years of experience, plus nitrous oxide and expanded functions certificates, and involves preparing operatories, taking digital x-rays, four-handed dentistry, charting, and patient education. Clinic hours are Monday–Thursday 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, full-time position with benefits including health, dental, vision,

Responsibilities

• Receive and prepare patients and operatories for dental treatment.
• Take digital x-rays.
• Using four-handed dentistry, assist with dental procedures, complete charting electronically, provide patient preventive education and oral hygiene instruction.
• Follow current infection control protocols for disinfection and sterilization of rooms, instruments and equipment.
• Recognize basic medical and dental emergencies.
• Display good customer service, communication and office teamwork.

Scope-Purpose

A dental assistant in the state of Missouri may perform basic supportive dental procedures under the direct supervision of a licensed dentist.

Education/Experience

Dental Assistant Certificate from an accredited school or 2 years dental assisting experience

Expanded Functions certificates

Responsibilities (including, but not limited to)

Work hours: full-time, hourly position. Dental Clinic hours are 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Thursday. This position may be scheduled to work any of the days the clinic is open (Monday through Thursday) and may be scheduled to arrive 15 minutes prior to opening and may be scheduled to leave one hour after closing, depending on patients scheduled.
