We are seeking a motivated and skilled Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our dedicated dental team. As an essential part of our practice, you will play a key role in creating a smooth and comfortable environment for our patients, ensuring high-quality care while supporting the dentist in both clinical and administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities:
Requirements & Qualifications:
Successful completion of:
EFDA clinical exam
NM jurisprudence exam (75% or higher)
Board-approved apprenticeship (within 180 days of permit)
Formal training in infection control from a board-approved course
Skills & Knowledge:
In-depth knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization methods, and infection control protocols.
Familiarity with dental procedures and treatments.
Understanding of health and safety regulations in a dental office.
Experience with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is highly preferred.
Clinical Competence : Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks, such as coronal polishing, and assist with other dental procedures.
Communication & Patient Care: Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with patients, providing clear instructions and ensuring their comfort.
Organization & Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Team-Oriented : Ability to work effectively in a team environment while providing high-quality patient care.
