The Indian Health Service is seeking a Dental Assistant to support comprehensive dental care in our health facilities. You will assist dentists in restorative and surgical procedures, maintain sterile techniques, and manage radiographs while educating patients on post-treatment care.

You will also help run clinic operations, keep supplies stocked, and maintain patient records, contributing to safe, effective dental services for American Indian and Alaska Native communities.

Formación

• Specialized experience in dental assistance (GS-3/GS-4) or equivalent education.
• Education options include 1-year dental assistant program or 1 year dental hygiene program including radiation-related coursework.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the dentist in restorative and surgical procedures.
• Maintain aseptic techniques and sterilize instruments.
• Expose and process dental radiographs following safety protocols.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support clinic operations, manage supplies and patient records.
