Job summary

The Goebel Fixture Company Dental Assistant (Health Programs) supports the delivery of patient-centered oral health services in a Federally Qualified Health Center setting. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program or equivalent on-the-job training.
• Current Dental Assistant certification or registration as required by state law.
• Ability to meet FQHC credentialing and privileging requirements.
• Prepare operatories, sterilize instruments, and maintain infection control.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists and dental hygienists during examinations and procedures.
• Prepare operatories and maintain infection control and sterilization logs.
• Take and process dental radiographs in accordance with state rules.
• Document services accurately in the EHR/EDR system.
• Coordinate referrals, follow-up, and care continuity as needed.
• Support clinic flow, scheduling, and patient access.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care.
