Job summary

The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Health Center is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dentists during procedures, take and develop radiographs, and maintain accurate patient records.

You will prepare treatment rooms, assist with sterilization, and ensure a calm, informative experience for patients in a busy clinical setting. Requirements include at least one year of dental assisting experience or equivalent, a high school diploma, and proficiency with Dentrix or similar scheduling/medical

Qualifications

• One year dental assisting experience or equivalent preferred.
• High school graduate or GED required.
• Computer literacy with scheduling/medical records software.

Responsibilities

• Assist Dentist at chair side and anticipate needs during procedures.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with patients and staff.
• Prepare operatory, sterilize instruments, and maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Take and develop x-rays and enter procedures into Dentrix.
• Communicate patient mood, questions, and concerns to the Dentist.
