Job summary

Centurion Health seeks a full-time Dental Assistant to join the team at Santa Rosa Correctional Institution in Milton, Florida. This role works under the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry within a correctional setting.

Essential duties include preparing and sterilizing instruments, maintaining the operatory, operating radiographic equipment, and handling administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or six (6) months of experience as a Dental Assistant required.
• Dental Assistant license or ability to obtain one required.
• Certification as an expanded duty dental assistant preferred; if the candidate does not possess a current certificate, one must be obtained in the first year of employment.
• Certification and/or previous experience performing dental x-rays preferred.
• Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening.
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check.]
